TOPS

A T-shirt

A Shirt

A Polo shirt is a short with two or three buttonsa casual short-sleeved cotton shirt with a collar and several buttons at the neck.

A Tank top has straps over the shoulders.

A Crop top shows the belly.

A Tube top with no straps or sleeves.

A Halter top with a single strap around the neck.

A Turtleneck is a top with close-fitting, round, and high collar that folds over and covers the neck.

A Blouse is a shirt with feminine appearance.

A Pullover doesn't have buttons and can be worn with a collared shirt underneath.

A Sweater is usually worn alone and is also a pullover (no buttons)

A Jacket is something you wear over your clothes to keep you warm.

A Blazer is a jacket resembling a suit cut more casually.

A sweatshirt is a printed version of a sweater, only cheap.

A Coat you wear when it's cold and over your clothes-heavier than the jacket (Jacket-fall, Coat-winter)

A Raincoat is a coat for the rain.

A Furcoat is a coat made of furry animal hides.

A jumper is many different things. Mainly a one piece that men wear to work on cars in the cold (full legs and arms and body). In Am. English it is a sleeveless dress.

A Jersey can either be a cardigan with a "college name" or a jacket with the same.

A Cardigan is a V neck sweater with buttons that you wear with a nice shirt matching underneath.

A Hoodie is a sweatshirt that is also a pullover with a hood attached. (forgot that.)

A Waistcoat or Vest is a sleeveless garment.

Tuxedo is a man's dinner jacket. (N. Amer)
